I started my journey with Ms. Heather Bear thru an email after I registered for the Tampa Phat Camp. I recall reading her testimony and seeing her before and after photos and saying to myself….”wow she is a normal woman just like me”….if she can get these results surely I can too!.....
After attending the Tampa, FL Phat Camp…I was HOOKED! All the trainers have so much energy and concern for EVERY single woman there! Heather and I hit it off right from the start. One of the things I remember clearly about Heather is anytime I talked to Heather, no matter how busy she was, how many million things she was doing, she ALWAYS looked me dead center in the eye and gave me 100% of her attention! AND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> you could feel her humility when she spoke to you. To myself I said this girl is real…she is talking a good talk…but she is also walking it!!!!! (little did I know she would have me later not only walking mine, but running!)
I signed up at Camp for the GetPhatOnline training and that next Monday my plan was there and I was off….!!! I remember reading Heather’s cardio plan and thinking to myself….she ‘thinks’ I can jog! Did she not ready my portfolio…yes, I have been doing cardio for 10+ years on and off but not jogging, and heaven forbid ever run! Well Ms. Heather knew things I didn’t know (but thought I did) …that’s what makes HER the professional! Heather hit it every week to a tee…where I was physically, where I was growing in strength and how to ‘push’ me to the next level. EVERY/ANYTIME I had a question, all I had to do is call or email and WHALA>>>>>>there she was ready, willing and more than able to answer and help me every step of the way. I found myself growing stronger and stronger and with creative changes to my plan each week that still amaze me how far I have come in such a short time….I am comparing 10+ years to 16 weeks!
I was doing things on a treadmill I would never think to incorporate – like getting off it and doing sit ups, burpies, walking backward, lunges, etc? What? Once you are on a treadmill you don’t get off…I couldn’t be more WRONG!
Ladies…I could barely jog 2 minutes…..now I can jog 60 minutes…run…..couldn’t run pass 4.5 initially now my jog is 4.6-4.8 and my run is 6.0-7.0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have endurance I NEVER had and I LOVE to jog now! YES I LOVE TO JOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not only have I accomplished fitness goals, I have had the honor of being trained/conditioned by an amazing woman/trainer/mentor….I have gained a friendship that is just an added bonus to the entire amazing experience!

Heather is the Cardio Queen. Seriously. I did not know what to expect when I first signed up, and now, 20 weeks later, Heather still comes up with the most unique cardios that you can't get bored, you wish it would stop, but it's over before you know it. You also know that she is, has, or will be doing it with you. She walks the talk, and you know what you get is authentic. Every week, I totally look forward to her crazy combinations!! She is so creative, and supportive. I know she has days just like me where she doesn't want to do it, but if you want it, you do it, and that is what she teaches you. Heather's cardio has changed my life. I have set athletic goals in my life that I have never achieved until now. Funny thing is that her cardio got me to those goals, and I never even told her that was a goal I wanted to achieve. That's how good it is! One last thing - if you don't belong to a gym, no problem. I already loved the outdoors, but now, I treasure it. I don't ever need a treadmill, BUT if I do, I know she has something up her sleeve that will really have me looking at treadmills like I never have before. Thanks Heather! You're an awesome inspiration!!
